Dwellink: War of the nine

Dwellink is the main game I´ve worked on in both my roles as game producer and game designer.

In 2016 I had an idea: Creating a Pokémon-like adventure but tailored at adults, with feirce monsters and photorealistic graphics. So in 2021 we began working on the first Unity Prototype of the game, which you can still find here: https://highpassionstudios.itch.io/dwellink

After that we switched to Unreal Engine 5 to get closer to the visual style we were looking for and then developed the game for a year in Unreal and got a playable prototype out of it. We hosted multiple public playtests and got great feedback from the players who sometimes played through the whole demo in one go! (~2h playtime)

My main roles in this project were game design, production and sound design. As for game design I had to develop over 100 unique creatures, all with their own backstory, design and appeal. I was also quite heavy on the math side of the game, coming up with complex formulars for the turn-based battle, like damage calculation. As a producer I made sure the game is coming along, guiding all other departments to achieve a single goal. I also managed a lot of interns during the development, making sure they learn a lot while contributing. I also did all the soundtracks and most of the SFX-sounds in game myself. Pets: Homerolling

Pets: Homerolling is the first big project I´ve worked on. I took on nearly all roles in the game.

Pets: Homerolling my first big solo project. I took on nearly all roles in this project except for the graphics. Pets: Homerolling released in 2021 in the Google Family Program as a game for kids.

Pets is a sports-action game with procedual generated levels and 8 different ball-shaped characters that have their own physics and twists. There are 3 different playmodes and, even though the levels are procedually generated, they get incremently harder till level 100!

Snacksway

Android, 2024

Snacksway is a game I produced with various interns at HighPassionStudios.

Snacksway is a highscore-based casual mobile game in which you can earn coupons at local resturants if you manage to land a spot on the weekly leaderbord. I worked on nearly every aspect of the game and produced it.

I worked on Snacksway with multiple interns in 2022 but due to the hybrid coupon-system nature of the game we weren´t eligble to apply for funding so in the end, I decided to release the game as it stands, without the coupon feature years later in 2024. In Snacksway you chose between 16 different characters to get the highscore on the 7 different maps.

Qupid

Android/PC, 2024

Qupid is an edutainment puzzle game where players can learn about additive color mixing and digital message transmission.

Qupid is an edutainment puzzle game about colors and color mixing. Explore twelve different levels and learn different trivia about colors while trying to solve the One-Screen-Puzzles. My roles in this project were game design, sound design, programming and production.
